O empate sem gols com o Atlético Grau conservou as chances do Grêmio de se classificar na Copa Sul-Americana. Mas a atuação abaixo do esperado do clube despertou críticas da torcida e a resposta do técnico Mano Menezes foi neste sentido.
Pausa do Mundial pode ajudar
Na coletiva pós-jogo, o comandante gremista afirmou que vê a chance de uma evolução no time após a parada para a disputa do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa. O argumento é de que a pausa das competições poderá dar tempo para que o Tricolor tenha períodos de treino adequados diante do momento atual de um calendário apertado e o acúmulo de jogos.
“Acho que poderemos treinar de verdade na parada. Primeiro, teremos a parada da data-Fifa. E aí é que reside o momento em que temos que transformar a produção da equipe como um todo”, disse Mano.

Time ‘diferente’?
Mas não apenas mudanças em termos de treinamento e trabalho são as que o treinador espera ver no Grêmio em breve. Há também a possibilidade de presença do time no mercado da bola, com Mano sinalizando que, com potenciais reforços, o time que voltará a jogar depois do Mundial possa ser bastante ‘diferente‘ em relação ao do primeiro semestre.
“Teremos mudanças significativas na parada. Não só no jeito de jogar no trabalho, mas também no elenco. Com a janela de transferências, esperamos que o Grêmio esteja bem diferente”, disse o treinador.
