Atacante é o grande destaque na estreia do Tricolor das laranjeiras na Copa do Mundo de Clubes no empate contra o Borussia Dortmund
A surpreendeu atuação do Fluminense no empate contra o Borussia Dortmund, por 0 a 0, na estreia dos dois clubes na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa, nesta terça-feira (17), no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey, chamou a atenção do mundo do futebol. Após o duelo, o colombiano Jhon Arias mandou uma recado ao times europeus.
Em entrevista após a partida válida pelo Grupo F da competição internacional, o atacante do Fluminense foi questionado sobre a surpresa que o time alemão teve ao se deparar com a grande atuação de todo o time carioca, que dominou praticamente o duelo inteiro e só não venceu por ineficiência nas finalizações e na ótima partida do goleiro suíço Kobel.
“Às vezes vem do desconhecimento. Você não pode ter surpresa com um time que dois anos atrás foi campeão da Libertadores. A gente mostrou hoje que é muito forte. O Campeonato Brasileiro é um campeonato de times muito fortes. De jogadores que jogam no Brasil e tiveram grande sucesso na Europa, como o Thiago Silva, que dispensa comentários”, iniciou Arias.
Arias indica sul-americanos subestimados
Para o colombiano, alguns times europeus subestimam a capacidade das equipes da América do Sul e quando há um jogo entre eles, acabam surpreendidos, como foi recentemente com o Porto, que foi dominado por quase toda a partida pelo Palmeiras, e agora com o próprio Fluminense diante do Borussia Dortmund.
“Muitas vezes existe a tendência de subestimar os clubes sul-americanos, e acho que isso é um erro. Porque no futebol moderno não tem rival bobo ou fraco ao extremo. Competições como o Mundial mostram que também temos virtudes, forças e grandes jogadores. Dentro da nossa realidade também somos um grande clube que está preparado para fazer grandes coisas”, concluiu.
Próximos jogos do Fluminense na Copa do Mundo de Clubes
Depois do empate contra o Borussia Dortmund na estreia da competição, o elenco do Fluminense volta aos treinamentos para se preparar para sequência de duelos. Neste sábado (21), novamente no MetLife Stadium, em Nova Jersey, o Tricolor encara o Ulsan Hyundai, às 19h (de Brasília). Já o último duelo será no dia 25 (quarta-feira) contra o Mamelodi Sundows, no Hard Rock Stadium, em Miami, às 16h (de Brasília).
