Liebe Transfer- und Kader-Planer,
es war klar, dass da Liebe im Spiel ist. Dass sie allerdings so tief sitzt, so abgrundtief, diese Liebe der Fans zu einem Spieler, das war nicht unbedingt zu erwarten, als ihr Thomas Müller nach 25 Jahren in die Fußballrente geschickt habt. Es verhält sich in diesem Falle ja nicht wie beim Konklave in Rom, wo die Kardinäle in der Sixtinischen Kapelle eingesperrt werden, bis sie sich auf einen neuen Papst geeinigt haben.

Im Fall Thomas Müller würde an der Säbenerstraße wohl nie weißer Rauch aufsteigen, wenn es allein um fußballerische Qualitäten ginge. Auch wenn ein Müller mit den Qualitäten der Weltmeisterschaften von 2010 (Torschützenkönig) und 2014 (Weltmeister) sehr, sehr schwer zu finden ist. Doch es sind andere Qualitäten, die ihn so einmalig machen, wobei ich auch nicht „Radio Müller“ meine mit seiner Schlagfertigkeit, seiner Geselligkeit, seiner wertvollen Stellung in einer Mannschaft. Nein, es ist schlicht und einfach die Gnade seiner bayerischen Geburt in Weilheim, seines Elternhauses im Pfaffenwinkel von Pähl nahe des Ammersees.
Es mag Zufall sein, dass sich das mit Bayern und Müller so ereignet hat, dass ihn der damalige Talentspäher Jan Pienta, wie Karl-Heinz Rummenigge ein Ostwestfale übrigens, im zarten Alter von zehn Jahren vom TSV Pähl zum FC Bayern holte. Denn Sie wissen ja, geneigter Leser, dass der Prophet im eigenen Lande nicht viel zählt. Und dass es genau das ist, was die Zuschauer neben dem Sehen auch hören wollen. Dass da einer auch ursprünglich der bayerischen Sprache mächtig ist in ihrer charmantischsten Art. Nicht umsonst haben Pientas Entdeckungen Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger und eben Thomas Müller den Status von Publikumslieblingen erworben, obwohl sie völlig verschiedener Charaktere sind.

Auffallend herzlich ist seit zwei, drei Jahren Müllers Verhältnis zu Jamal Musiala (21). Wie der Papa, der stolz ist auf seinen Sohn. Während seiner Abschiedsrede in der Allianz Arena tauschten sie immer wieder Blicke aus. Musiala, in Stuttgart geboren, im Hessischen aufgewachsen, gehört seit dem 16. Lebensjahr dem FC Bayern an. Nach 40 Länderspielen für Deutschland hört man immer weniger seine englischen Jugendjahre durch. Musiala könnte Müllers Nachfolger werden. Ja, liebe Transfer- und Kaderplaner des FC Bayern: Der beste Kaderplaner hat am Samstag erst mal Abschied genommen. Richtig: Jetzt haben wir ihn, den neuen Job für Müller beim FC Bayern. Dann könnte er auch in Angriff nehmen, was zwischen den Fans und den Bayern im Argen liegt: der Kampf um die rotweißen Trikots. Hoffentlich sehen wir ihn bald wieder, den Thomas Müller. Weil er den Fans aus dem Herzen spricht.
