She described how Combs allegedly maintained control through verbal abuse and inconsistent treatment. Her time working for him ended abruptly in 2016 when she was informed that Revolt Films, where she had been working, was shutting down. She testified that Combs did not personally fire her; instead, another executive relayed the decision, leaving her devastated.

Court documents revealed text messages exchanged between Mia and Combs’ chief of staff, Kristina “KK” Khorram, in which Mia expressed suicidal thoughts after losing her job. She testified that working for Combs had been the only life she knew, making the sudden loss overwhelming. Combs’ defense team focused on Mia’s previous interactions with him, questioning why she remained publicly cordial and shared celebratory posts about his birthday. Mia countered that as his assistant, she was expected to maintain a public front while working for him.
Steel directly challenged Mia’s allegations, asking her whether Combs had ever engaged in nonconsensual sexual contact with her. Mia firmly responded, “What I said in this courtroom is true. I have not lied to anyone at all.” She also revealed that after her dismissal, she pursued severance and ultimately received a $400,000 settlement, keeping $200,000 after attorney fees.
The trial is set to resume on Monday with further cross-examination of Mia. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump commented on the case, stating that he would “look at the facts” if Combs were found guilty and a pardon request was presented. Trump noted that he has not spoken to Combs in years, distancing himself from the unfolding legal battle.
