Pardubický kádr samozřejmě doznal oproti loňské sezoně mnoha změn, ale už pod Zadinou patřil k nejlepším v extralize, takže herní rozdíl by neměl být až tak znatelný.
Optikou očekávaných bodů, se kterými analytická data extraligy pracují až od letošní sezony, výkony Dynama tak nějak odpovídají počtu bodů, které získalo. Na základě dat by jich mělo mít 15,2, což by ovšem v rámci extraligy mělo pohodlně stačit na třetí místo. Hokej ale není jen o číslech a zejména v úvodu sezony mnoho celků hraje nad očekávání.
Ačkoli mají Pešánovy Pardubice méně bodů, oproti Zadinovým došlo k razantnímu hernímu zlepšení. Pod bývalým reprezentačním koučem hraje Dynamo atraktivnější hokej, utkání má daleko více pod kontrolou. Podíl očekávaných gólů, jenž tuto statistiku vyzdvihuje nejlépe, má lehce nad 60 procenty. Po Spartě druhé nejlepší číslo. Loni pod Zadinou byly Pardubice pod 48 procenty, což je obrovský nepoměr.

V očekávaných gólech jsou obecně velké nuance. Letos jsou Pardubice jako vyměněné. Zlepšily se a ve všech metrikách. Kde byly loni touto dobou poslední, se pohybují v první pětici tabulky. V souhrnném percentilu mají druhou nejlepší střelbu v celé soutěži. Pomáhá k tomu i úspěšnější tvorba hry, kde si Dynamo v útočném pásmu dokáže daleko lépe vytvářet střelecké pozice než loni.
A to se jim až v posledních dvou kolech vrátil do hry možná vůbec nejlepší tvůrce hry v celé soutěži Roman Červenka. Bodově jsou na tom Pardubice hůř než pod Zadinou, herně jsou však vyspělejší.
