O quarteto soma 27 gols e oito assistências nesta temporada: são 14 gols e dois passes de Vegetti; cinco gols e duas assistências de Coutinho; seis gols e quatro passes para gol de Arrascaeta; e dois gols de Pedro, que, recuperado de lesão, marcou pela primeira vez desde setembro do ano passado na goleada por 6 a 0 sobre o Juventude, na quarta-feira.
As duas assistências de Coutinho foram justamente para Vegetti, com quem tem mostrado entrosamento muito maior em 2025. O argentino, aliás, vive grande momento e marcou quatro gols neste Brasileirão. Divide a artilharia com o próprio Arrascaeta— além de Pedro Raul, hoje no Ceará.
O uruguaio, por sua vez, iniciou a temporada recuperado dos problemas físicos que o levaram à mesa de cirurgia no fim de 2024 e vem sendo utilizado com cuidado pelo técnico Filipe Luís, depois de mais um período de aprimoramento. Em campo, resolve jogos para o rubro-negro e esbanja qualidade técnica.
— Quando o físico está bem, a minutagem dá a confiança necessária e que o jogador perde quando fica fora. Hoje, ele está perto do prime que a gente conhece. É um jogador muito diferente, muito especial — disse Filipe Luís após a goleada sobre os gaúchos.
O Vasco vem de derrota para o Ceará (2 a 1) fora de casa e tenta evitar mais um resultado ruim que aumentaria a pressão sobre o técnico Fábio Carille, com quem a torcida vive relação instável. A boa notícia é que hoje terá seu “arco”: poupado na partida no Castelão, Coutinho está de volta. Sem ele, a equipe venceu somente uma vez nesta temporada.
— Nós, como comissão técnica, temos que potencializar o que ele pode nos dar. Tenho conversado com ele para que esteja bem. Com ele bem, o Vasco vai estar bem — analisou o treinador cruz-maltino, otimista em entrevista em março.

O Vasco tem duas baixas no meio hoje. A primeira é Tchê Tchê, liberado para resolver problemas relacionados à saúde de um familiar (Jair e Paulinho são opções). A outra é Payet, com estiramento no joelho direito. Do lado rubro-negro, o lateral-esquerdo Alex Sandro está fora, com um edema na coxa esquerda. Pedro, por outro lado, pode ser titular.
As duas equipes entram em campo de olho também em compromissos internacionais complicados, ambos na terça-feira: o Vasco recebe o Lanús-ARG, pela Copa Sul-Americana, enquanto o Flamengo encara a altitude de Quito em visita à LDU, pela Libertadores.
