Alvo de questionamentos pela ausência de oportunidades para jovens da base, Zubeldía decidiu apostar, novamente, nos garotos do São Paulo. Diante do impacto em campo, a sequência para Lucas Ferreira e Matheus Alves foi uma decisão elogiada por Cicinho.
“Olha o que o Renato Gaúcho está fazendo no Fluminense. Ele está dando minutagem para os reservas para ver o que tem em mãos. O Zubeldía precisava parar na mesma tecla dos principais jogadores. Agora, que está tendo esse rodízio, os jogadores estão correspondendo.”, externou.
