The NFL Draft is one of the most anticipated nights of the year – part football, part spectacle, and a whole lot of emotion. As rosters begin to take shape and dreams start turning into reality, all eyes are usually on the young stars whose lives are about to change forever.
Surrounded by close friends and family, Kelvin Banks Jr. was soaking in that very moment. At the center of his celebration was his baby boy, Khalil, nestled in the arms of his mother, Demetria. But just seconds after Kelvin’s name was called, right as ESPN cut to their home for the feel-good live shot – baby Khalil made his own primetime debut by throwing up mid-broadcast. Right on cue, and right on national television.

While the room erupted in cheers and applause, Khalil’s little stomach clearly had other plans. Maybe it was nerves. Maybe it was motion. Or maybe, just maybe, it was a tiny protest from the future football heir who wasn’t sold on New Orleans.
Naturally, the internet wasted no time turning the moment into the meme of the night. Social media lit up with fans joking that Khalil had some thoughts about his dad becoming a Saint. And like any good sport, Kelvin Banks Jr. reportedly jumped online to check out the chaos his son had sparked – moments after Khalil gave mom a surprise outfit change she won’t forget anytime soon.
Kelvin Banks Jr. is officially a first-round pick for the New Orleans Saints, but thanks to perfect timing and a little baby drama, his draft night moment became something else entirely.
