Se Slavií máte čtvrtý titul. Dají se nějak porovnat?
Je to těžké, každý titul je jiný. Jsem rád, že jsme hráli v Olomouci, protože je tu skvělý stadion. Když jsme měli titul získat venku, tak je dobře, že to bylo tady. Beru to jako úlevu pro sebe a pro lidi. Mám totiž radost, když mají radost ostatní. Stavím to momentálně i nad trofeje. Moc si toho vážím. Čísla pro mě teď nejsou důležitá.
A co tedy?
Čekání bylo delší, než jsme byli zvyklí. Měli jsme tři tituly za sebou, pak jsme byli třikrát druzí. Lidi si to moc zasloužili. Jezdí s námi vždy a všude. V minulé sezoně jsme měli dvacet šest vítězství a v posledním kole už jsme o titul nehráli. Sice můžete mít pocit, že tým odvedl spoustu práce, ale každého zajímá jen první místo. Titulu v této sezoně se hodně obětovalo. Kvalita ligy je obrovská. Když slavíme čtyři kola před koncem, vypadá to, že to bylo jednoduché. Ale nebylo. Liga se strašně zvedla, konkurence je největší za dobu, co pamatuji.
Věříte, že jste na prahu nějaké dynastie?
Podobná čísla jsme měli i v minulé sezoně a víme, jak to dopadlo. Liga se strašně zvedá úrovní, atraktivitou, terény, čistým časem a dalšími věcmi. Láká to lidi, kteří chtějí dávat do fotbalu peníze. Proto chci poděkovat našemu majiteli (Pavlu Tykačovi). Už když přišel minulou zimu, říkal jsem, že je největší posilou. Vše, co řekl, dodržel. Stálo ho to hodně peněz. Dal Slavii možnost pro to, kde momentálně jsme. A jestli se vytvoří dynastie? Uvidíme. Nikdo nám nedá nic zadarmo.
Ale v této sezoně jste v lize dominovali.
Máme možnost budovat tým. Řeknu jeden příklad: Malick (Diouf) v zimě neodešel a zůstal. Ano, opustil nás Tonda Kinský (do Tottenhamu), ale lidé ve vedení včetně pana Tvrdíka (předsedy představenstva) věděli, že to bude ještě těžké a nenechali se zlákat náskokem, který jsme měli. Nebyla to jednoduchá rozhodnutí. U nich vše začíná, bez nich by to nešlo. Patří jim velký dík.

Panu majiteli jsem něco řekl, když přišel. Jsem rád, že teď se to splnilo. Myslím, že tým bude dál hladový. Zřejmě dojde k nějakým odchodům, protože někteří hráči českou ligu přerostli. Bude to mít nějaký vývoj. Uvidíme, jak se s odchody srovnáme.
Máte v tomto směru představu s vedením klubu, kolik hráčů byste chtěli maximálně pustit pryč?
Vše probíráme. Co se týče příchodů, máme shodu na šesti jménech, ale z toho se podaří tak dva nebo tři jako vždycky. Samozřejmě uvidíme, jak budou reagovat hráči, kteří mají nabídky. Bude záležet na tom, jestli budou chtít ve Slavii ještě zůstat a zahrát si soutěže, které nás čekají. V českém prostředí je to vždy o nabídce. My si můžeme něco malovat, ale v srpnu se rozhýbe evropský trh, někdo někoho prodá a půjde si pro náhradu k nám. Na to musíme být připravení. Naši hráči jsou pro zahraniční kluby zajímaví stylem hry i věkem. Ideální scénář by byl jeden odchod. Myslím, že budou dva, ale doufám, že víc ne.
Co jste říkal na choreo s vaším obličejem přes celou tribunu?
Překvapilo mě. Byl to zvláštní pohled, ale na první dobrou musím říct, že choreo vypadá líp než skutečnost. (smích). Bylo hodně povedené a musím říct, že jsem dojatý. Vím, kolik práce tyhle věci stojí. My se na to pak krátce podíváme a kluci to pak sbalí a vyhodí. Přéma Kovář (člen managementu) si ze mě dělal srandu, že si to určitě vezmu na zahradu. Bylo to krásný. Moc za to děkuji.

Poslední čtvrthodinu si zachytal brankář Ondřej Kolář. Bylo jeho nasazení plánovanou akcí?
Trochu jsme to v hlavě měli. Ondra je svým způsobem ikonou klubu a je součást týmu, který celou sezonu skvěle fungoval. I hráči, kteří nehrají, dělají servis áčkové sestavě, což není tolik vidět. Jsem rád, jak Ondru fanoušci přivítali. Bylo to symbolické. Když jsme byli naposledy v Lize mistrů, fenomenálně ji chytal. Teď jsme získali jistotu, že si ji zase zahrajeme, a on byl zpátky na hřišti.
Roli hrály i příhodné okolnosti, že?
Ano, průběh zápasu nám dovolil ho nasadit. Musím poděkovat i Jindrovi Staňkovi, který se k tomu takhle postavil. Sám za mnou byl asi před měsícem a řekl mi, že pokud by to vyšlo, tak chce, aby šel Ondra do brány. Celá kabina táhne za jeden provaz a jako trenér z toho mám radost.
Jak přistoupíte ke zbylým čtyřem utkáním v sezoně?
V těch nejbližších máme doma Plzeň a Spartu, což jsou pro nás velké zápasy. Nic moc měnit nebudeme. Sami hráči tlačí na to, že chtějí hrát. Ale pak budeme chtít dát prostor některým dalším. Slýchám názor, že si budeme moct někoho otestovat, s tím ale nesouhlasím. Nemůžete si hráče vyzkoušet v zápase, kdy nemáte nůž na krku. Vezměte si zápas s Olomoucí v poháru, kdy jsme prohráli. Tam je hráč nucený někoho nahradit a zahrát. Je to jiné než v situaci, v jaké budeme teď.

Usnadní vám přípravu a vstup do další sezony fakt, že nebudete hrát předkola evropských pohárů, protože jdete rovnou do Ligy mistrů?
Čeká nás atypické léto. Před touhle sezonou nás potkal nejhorší možný scénář, bylo Euro a pak kvalifikace v pohárech. Bylo to hodně náročné. Teď bude ta nejlepší varianta, nemáme kvalifikace, není velký turnaj. Nicméně kluky čeká v červnu reprezentační sraz, hrají dva důležité zápasy v kvalifikaci o mistrovství světa. Musíme najít nějaký kompromis, tlačíme na ně, aby nějakou dovolenou měli.
Už se těšíte na Ligu mistrů?
Teď o ní nechci moc slyšet, protože nás v nové sezoně bude nejprve čekat sedm nebo osm zápasů. Ovšem je krásné, že můžeme takhle přemýšlet. Ještě ani není květen a bavíme se o tom, že jdeme do Lize mistrů. Těším se na to. A přiznávám, že bych si při losu strašně přál dva týmy.
