Zinho pregou cautela ao abordar o futuro de Pedro na seleção. Embora o camisa 9 do Flamengo tenha voltado aos gramados de forma avassaladora, o ex-jogador lembrou que o Brasil atravessa uma situação complicada. Sem um padrão tático ideal para o encaixe em campo, houve uma sinalização de que o sucesso pode acabar ficando pendente.
“O time que ele joga ajuda muito. Ele é um ótimo centroavante, inclusive esteve na última Copa do Mundo. Mas, infelizmente, a contusão prejudicou uma sequência na seleção, até para a gente ver se o Pedro, do Flamengo, encaixa no jogo da seleção. Acho difícil. A seleção não está proporcionando para ninguém um conjunto para que valores individuais apareçam.”, disse Zinho, no programa Equipe F, da ESPN.
“Eu sou um cara que privilegia o conjunto. Os grandes jogadores vão aparecer quando o time está bem montado.”, acrescentou.
Sequência no Flamengo
Ao contrário da seleção, o Flamengo possui uma base pronta para Pedro seguir balançando as redes. Por conta disso, Zinho confia que o centroavante vai seguir acumulando gols capazes de garantir novos títulos em 2025.
“O Pedro é maravilhoso, gosto muito, mas o Flamengo, com o entorno que ele tem, oferece que a qualidade dele apareça. Joga em um time desorganizado e que a coisa não acontece. O Pedro, nessa volta, foi maravilhoso esse jogo com o Corinthians. Acho que ele vai continuar nessa sequência porque o time é muito bom.”, afirmou.

“Eu acho muito bom jogador, tem tudo para voltar à seleção brasileira, mas não coloco ele como incomparável. Tem muitos bons jogadores jogando no futebol brasileiro que, com os times se organizando, podem brigar pela artilharia do campeonato.”, opinou.
