Sperbeck reportedly fell from a moving golf cart, suffering a traumatic brain injury after hitting his head on asphalt. According to TMZ, Elway, who was driving the cart at the time, immediately called 911. When paramedics arrived, Sperbeck was unconscious but still breathing. He was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs and placed on life support but sadly passed away four days later.

Sperbeck represented Elway during his playing career and transitioned into a business partner role following Elway’s retirement. Sperbeck, a well-regarded agent in his own right, managed the careers of over 100 NFL players during his time in the industry.
