Flavio Prado, ao abordar o atual momento do Santos, não sinalizou uma eliminação precoce na Copa do Brasil como algo negativo. Apesar da possibilidade do Peixe abastecer os cofres através do torneio, o comunicador defende que o Brasileirão seja a prioridade máxima em 2025. Isso porque o atual rendimento é passível de rebaixamento, motivo pelo qual o desgaste em outra competição pode acabar trazendo dificuldades.
“O Santos pode render mais. Vai ter um ganho de qualidade técnica na hora que o Neymar voltar, mas o Santos vai ter que brigar para não ser rebaixado.”, disse Flavio Prado, no Bate-Pronto, da Jovem Pan.
“Se ele sair da Copa do Brasil é até uma benção. Ele precisa tomar cuidado para não ser rebaixado.”, acrescentou.

Saindo na frente, o Santos flertou com uma derrota contra o CRB. Embora o time alagoano tenha sido bastante corajoso, Flavio Prado avalia que o pênalti defendido por Brazão, nos minutos finais, trouxe justiça ao duelo pela terceira fase da Copa do Brasil.
“Não foi um jogo para outro resultado que não fosse o empate. Se o Brazão não pega o pênalti, não seria justo. O CRB jogou de igual para igual com o Santos, mas não jogou para ganhar.”, opinou.

Diante de outro tropeço, um clima de tensão foi instaurado na Vila Belmiro. Após a tentativa para quebrar o vidro no setor dos jornalistas, Flavio Prado defende um maior rigor para que os membros de torcidas organizadas não aterrorizem o ambiente do Santos.
“Uma coisa que está ficando muito séria. Conforme eles dizem que ‘se não for por amor, vai ser por terror’. Quem faz terror é terrorista. Esses caras foram os grandes responsáveis pelo rebaixamento do Santos. Eles não ajudam em nada e fazem uma pressão violentíssima. Não é possível que permitam a entrada desses caras nas dependências do Santos.”, externou.
