Steve Kerr on Stephen Curry’s hamstring injury: ‘Hard to imagine that he would play Thursday’

The Golden State Warriors stunned the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday despite losing star Stephen Curry to a hamstring injury. Now, they'll have to prove they can do it again.Warriors coach Steve Kerr offered a pessimistic injury update on Curry following the team's 99-88 win in Game 1. While Curry was deemed day-to-day with the injury, Kerr doesn't expect the star shooter to be available for Game 2."We don't know yet," Kerr said. "But with a hamstring, it's hard to imagine that he would play Thursday."AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCurry will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the full extent of the injury. MLB trends: Roki Sasaki’s failed fastball, Jordan Walker’s developing defense and the magic of playing at home

Getty Images The first 20% of the 2025 MLB regular season is in the books and things are beginning to look normal, for lack of a better term. Only one qualified hitter (Aaron Judge) is hitting over .400 and just a handful of qualified starters have a sub-2.00 ERA. Contenders that started poorly are getting hot and pretenders that started well are coming back to Earth. Here now are three trends worth keeping an eye on as we head into the thick of May.Sasaki's not-so-great fastballSaturday night in Atlanta, Dodgers righty Roki Sasaki earned his first MLB win with an outing that was OK but not really great. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks in five innings, and struck out four. The offense put 10 runs on the board, including seven when Sasaki was in the […]

Fantasy Baseball Rankings Movers: Maikel Garcia surges at three positions; J.P. Crawford matters again

Most every week, Scott White will highlight some of the more notable changes to his rest-of-season rankings. You'll find said rankings here and are urged to bookmark them if you haven't already. There's no better resource for gauging player value throughout the long season. Most of my ranking adjustments to this point (and there have been plenty) have focused on the middle and lower reaches of each position. There have been small tweaks at the top, confined mostly to rearranging players within the same tier, but as a general rule, the more you have invested in a player, the more leeway you should give him for a slow start. There is no act more harmful to your Fantasy team than selling your studs short. Why am I bringing this up now? Because at least at one position, that hands-off approach […]

Ranking every RB room in the NFL by tiers: Lions backfield duo of Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery top group

Photo by Ryan Kang/Getty Images Who didn't love the running back resurgence in 2024? After the position had been sort of beaten down over the previous few seasons, running backs were, well, back. Last offseason saw a ton of shakeups with stars moving around the league, and most paid off to ridiculous degrees. Most notably, Saquon Barkley proved to be a key cog for the Philadelphia Eagles en route to a Super Bowl LIX title, while Derrick Henry formed a lethal duo with Lamar Jackson as the Baltimore Ravens led the NFL in rushing yards. While there wasn't as much movement by backs this offseason, the NFL Draft was filled to the brim with talent that is now entering the league, headlined by Ashton Jeanty to the Raiders and Omarion Hampton to the Chargers. With the draft and free agency now behind […]
