Last Friday, May 2, US magazine Us Weekly revealed that Crystal Hefner, widow of Hugh Hefner, is engaged almost eight years after the death of the Playboy founder. The model will marry James Ward and it was she herself who gave all the details about her future wedding in the aforementioned media outlet.
According to the singer, Ward proposed to her on April 25 “with a six-carat diamond set on a very thin band” at Hefner’s house in Hawaii after a year of dating. She then confessed the place and how the plan was orchestrated where he proposed to her, a plan that left her completely shocked.

“It really feels like a full circle moment. James completely surprised me. He had a hidden staircase and a winding path cleared to reveal a handmade deck perched on a spectacular cliff overlooking the ocean,” she told the magazine.
“It was the exact spot where we had picnicked together a year ago, a place that became ‘ours’. I had no idea he was secretly making it permanent and symbolic. I thought we were just going for a walk, but when I saw the flowers, the handwritten notes and the sea stretching endlessly in front of us, I knew something extraordinary was about to happen,” she added excitedly.
It should be remembered that Crystal was married to Hugh Hefner for five years before his death in 2017. The adult magazine publisher and American businessman died at the age of 91 of natural causes at his home, the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles.
