Heidenheim-Boss über Zustand von Müller – „Er ist ansprechbar, er antwortet normal“

Torhüter Kevin Müller vom 1. FC Heidenheim geht es nach dem heftigen Zusammenprall im Spiel der Fußball-Bundesliga gegen den VfL Bochum wieder „deutlich besser“. Das sagte der Vorstandsvorsitzende des Clubs, Holger Sanwald, im ZDF-Sportstudio. „Er ist ansprechbar, er antwortet normal. Ihm ist noch ein bisschen schwindelig.“

Der 34 Jahre alte Müller, der im Freitagabendspiel (0:0) eine schwere Gehirnerschütterung erlitt, sei am Samstagmorgen auf die Normalstation des Klinikums Heidenheim verlegt worden. „Ihm geht es wieder gut. Wir sind hoffnungsvoll, dass er auch bald zurückkehren kann. Er fragt zumindest schon danach, wann er wieder auf dem Platz stehen kann“, führte Sanwald aus.

[–>Müller war beim Kampf um den Ball mit Gegenspieler Ibrahima Sissoko zusammengestoßen und blieb zunächst bewusstlos liegen. Nach einer mehr als zehnminütigen Behandlung wurde der Keeper unter aufmunternden „Kevin Müller“-Rufen von beiden Fanlagern mit einer Trage abtransportiert und ins Klinikum Heidenheim gebracht. „Das war ein klassischer Knockout und wir hoffen, dass er schnell wieder zurückkommt“, hatte FCH-Coach Frank Schmidt noch am Abend erklärt.

Sanwald lobt Fan-Reaktionen: „Wirklich unglaublich“

Sanwald lobte die Reaktion der Fans: „Das war wirklich unglaublich. Es ging in diesem Spiel wirklich um alles für beide Mannschaften.“ Dass die Anhänger in diesen dramatischen Momenten die sportliche Situation zurückgestellt und sich gegenseitig unterstützt hätten, sei ein „großartiger Augenblick“ gewesen.

„Ich kann nur ein großes Kompliment machen an die VfL-Bochum-Fans, aber auch an unsere Fans: Das war toll und hat sicherlich dem Kevin Müller auch sehr geholfen“, sagte der 57-Jährige.
