According to several experts, Tom Brady‘s Las Vegas Raiders had one of the most productive drafts in the past decade, adding several players with remarkable talent to their roster. This is just one of the first steps toward transforming the team into a true NFL contender.

One more player to bolster the defense
The Raiders have been addressing key areas of need, but they should continue adding talent in the coming weeks or months.
After resolving the quarterback situation by acquiring Geno Smith and strengthening critical offensive positions-including selecting the top running back in the draft, Ashton Jeanty, and other offensive additions-the Raiders must now prioritize their defense, a unit that has received less attention so far.
General Manager John Spytek delivered a strong first draft with the Raiders, but he’s always looking for sensible ways to improve.
While the Raiders bolstered their cornerback group this offseason, they may still need additional help. Jacob Camenker of USA TODAY believes the Raiders should be among the teams interested in veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Though not everyone agrees, the reasoning is sound.
“The Raiders may not be a top contender like the [Los Angeles] Rams, but they also lack a true No. 1 cornerback. They invested a third-round pick in raw, converted receiver Darien Porter to play the position, but could stand to find a proven upgrade over the trio of Eric Stokes, Jakorian Bennett, and Decamerion Richardson, who are expected to challenge for playing time on the outside this season,” Camenker said.
“Ramsey would provide the Raiders with that. Pete Carroll would likely be interested in acquiring a bigger-bodied, physical cornerback to help him try to recreate the ‘Legion of Boom’ in Las Vegas,” he added.
Ramsey’s contract could complicate his potential arrival to the Raiders or any other team. However, the franchise has managed its finances in a way that could allow them to afford upgrading their cornerback group.
