Od disciplinární komise dostal za vyloučení v semifinále MOL Cupu (Olomouc zvítězila 3:2) distanc na deset zápasů. „Nezbývá mi než trest respektovat, i když spodní hranice byla osm zápasů. Věřím, že se Honza vrátí na hřiště co nejdřív,“ podotkl Frydrych.
Opora Baníku i kvůli nepříjemnému momentu z duelu s Olomoucí prožívá jedno z nejtěžších období kariéry. „Začalo už na začátku roku, kdy se mi přihodily nešťastné události v osobním životě. Fotbal mě držel nad vodou, pomáhal mi. Teď se stala nešťastná záležitost s faulem. Nechtěl jsem Honzu zranit, snažil jsem se jen vypíchnout míč na dlouhou nohu. Souboj bohužel dopadl tak, jak dopadl. Viděl jsem ho mnohokrát, až jsem s tím musel brzdit. Jinak bych se v tom pořád utápěl,“ uvedl Frydrych, kterému se v hlavě honí myšlenky, jak bude vypadat jeho návrat.
„Přemýšlel jsem, jaké bude se vrátit. Nebyl jsem za zákeřného hráče, budu si ale muset dávat ze začátku pozor. Pak obavy snad odezní,“ pověděl Frydrych. Mezi fotbalovými experty se mu dostává zastání. Respektive drtivá většina z nich ho neviní z úmyslu, moment považuje za nešťastný. Trest navíc považují za vysoký.
„Deset zápasů mi přijde strašně moc. Podle mě je trest reakcí na následky, i komu se zranění stalo. Že jde o nejlepšího střelce ligy. Okolnosti byly hodně silné,“ prohlásil bývalý útočník Slavie Luděk Zelenka.
„Honzy je mi líto. Stejně vnímám, v jak nepříjemné pozici je Michal. Přijde mi, že ohledně udílení trestů se sklouzává k tomu, že se v nich bude odrážet, jak dlouho mimo bude postižený hráč. Za mě je trest pro Michala příliš vysoký. Když se vzpomenu, jak před lety Kweuke zlomil nohu Radkovi Dosoudilovi a dostal za to dvanáct zápasů… Ze strany Michala se jednalo o úplně jiný zákrok, Kweuke tehdy Radkovi prošlápl nohu,“ doplnil záložník Mladé Boleslavi Marek Matějovský.
Podle Zelenky nepříjemný moment ze semifinále MOL Cupu rozhořel velkou diskuzi u mládežnických trenérů. „Po svých svěřencích vyžadují zastavovat akce soupeře za každou cenu. Přísný trest pro Michala by tedy mohl být signálem, aby se v mládeži v tomto směru přibrzdilo,“ dodal Zelenka.

Novým trenérem basketbalistů Opavy je dosavadní Czudkův asistent Zach
„Beru to jako životní krok v trenérské kariéře, byl to vždycky můj sen. Cítím však velkou zodpovědnost a zároveň jsem odhodlán dokázat, že budu pro klub v této pozici přínosem a mé angažování je správným krokem,“ řekl Zach.Bývalý reprezentační asistent Czudek skončil na lavičce Opavy po 13 letech. V předloňské sezoně dovedl Slezany k titulu domácích šampionů. V klubu dříve působil i jako hráč. Zach zastával roli jeho asistenta od sezony 2021/22.Sportovním manažerem bude Gniadek, který uspěl ve výběrovém řízení. V Opavě působil jako hráč jedenáct sezon. Poslední ročník strávil v Ostravě. „Přicházím s jasnou vizí, kam by měl klub směřovat. Chtěl bych také více propojit mládežnické kategorie s A týmem, abychom zase udělali velký sportovní úspěch,“ řekl Gniadek.„Všechna sportovní rozhodnutí půjdou za mnou, ale budu čerpat ze svých sportovních zkušeností a své koncepci věřím. Nejdůležitější bude následující měsíc, pro nastavení celé mé koncepce tak, aby to v budoucnu přineslo výsledky,“ doplnil.
