Both Stanley Cup favorites hit the ice on Thursday night as favorites in their respective series, but one is a slight underdog for Game 2. The Edmonton Oilers (+400 to win the Cup) are road underdogs against the Vegas Golden Knights after their come-from-behind win in Game 1 of the second round. The Carolina Hurricanes (+360), on the other hand, are slightly favored tonight on the road against the Washington Capitals. The odds predict two very close games.

The Capitals look to even up their second-round series with their Metropolitan Division rivals after the Hurricanes took a hard-earned Game 1 victory Tuesday night.
The Hurricanes outshot the Capitals 33-14 and out-attempted them 94-34.
Frederik Andersen returned to the Hurricanes’ net, his first appearance since a collision with New Jersey’s Timo Meier in Game 4.
In his second game back from injury, Aliaksei Protas opened the scoring on Andersen in the second period. Logan Stankoven tied the game midway through the third before defenseman Jaccob Slavin scored 3:06 into the extra frame on goaltender Logan Thompson.
Capitals coach Spencer Carbery summed it up: “Our entire game was not good.”
