The NHL’s Friday night action brings us Game 3 of the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers series and Game 2 of the Dallas Stars vs. Winnipeg Jets series. Florida is down 0-2 so far, but is favored to win its first home game of the series. The Jets are at home again, looking to even their series against the Stars in the later game. Both the Maple Leafs and the Stars are favored to take their respective series, but one night can change all that. Here’s how to watch both games, plus odds and previews.

The Maple Leafs head to Florida with a commanding 2-0 series lead over the defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers. Once again, they’ll be without No. 1 goaltender Anthony Stolarz.
Joseph Woll was solid with 25 saves in a 4-3 Game 2 win on Wednesday. Woll took over the Leafs’ net in Game 1 when Stolarz left after catching Sam Bennett’s forearm to the head in a net-front collision.
The Leafs are getting offensive contributions from all over — including from star William Nylander and new dad Mitch Marner — and are winning the goaltending battle against Sergei Bobrovsky, as James Mirtle gets into here. But despite being in unfamiliar territory, the Panthers aren’t worried.

Mikko Rantanen scored another single-period hat trick to power his Stars past the Jets to open this series.
Rantanen, the big trade deadline pickup who did the same against his former Colorado Avalanche in Game 7 last weekend, was double-shifted and scored a natural hatty in the middle frame for an eventual 3-2 win. The Stars also welcomed back Jason Robertson, who’d been out since April 16 with a knee injury.
The good news for the Jets? Connor Hellebuyck wasn’t bad, and Mark Scheifele is back (and even scored in his return). Can the Jets even things up in front of the Whiteout faithful? Or will the Stars take a 2-0 series lead down south?
