Lewis Hamilton (40) sorgt im Ferrari–Rennstall für Stunk – mal wieder
Nach dem guten Sprint von Monaco (3.) reichte es für Hamilton im Rennen nur für Platz acht. Doch auch neben dem Ergebnis sorgt der siebenfache Weltmeister bei Ferrari für negative Schlagzeilen.
Sky–Experte Ralf Schumacher (49) findet im Podcast „Backstage Boxengasse“ dafür klare Worte.
„Mimimi Hamilton, das war irgendwie daneben. Wenn man wirklich vorbei will, ist das eine Sache, er war ja auch schneller zu dem Zeitpunkt. Aber dann gebe ich das auch kampflos zurück. Und nachher tue ich nicht so, als wenn ich das sarkastisch gemeint hätte. Sondern sag einfach mal, dass es mir leidtut“
[–>Lautstark forderte Hamilton im Rennen, seinen Ferrari–Kollegen Charles Leclerc (27) überholen zu dürfen. Mit frischeren Reifen als Leclerc wollte er Mercedes–Pilot Kimi Antonelli (18) jagen.
Doch das Hamilton–Manöver ging schief und der Pilot muss sich von Leclerc wieder überholen lassen. Das passte Lewis Hamilton aber mal so gar nicht!
Schumacher: „Da ist jetzt Klärungsbedarf, da wird auf jeden Fall drüber gesprochen, auch intern wie man in Zukunft damit umgeht. (…) So vehement er dann meinte, „soll ich jetzt den Carlos Sainz (…) auch noch vorbeilassen“. Das passt momentan nicht so zu seiner Leistung, muss man auch sagen – egal wie oft man Weltmeister war.“

Dass Lewis Hamilton im Nachhinein betonte, seine Aussage sei Sarkasmus gewesen, kauft Ralf Schumacher dem 40–Jährigen nicht ab.
„Das sollte eigentlich nicht passieren mit der Erfahrung und seinem Alter. Er hätte ein bisschen cleverer agieren können.“
Für Scuderia Ferrari ist der Hamilton–Ausraster sinnbildlich für die bisherige Saison. In der Konstrukteurswertung bewegen sich die Italiener nur auf Rang vier – McLaren, Mercedes und auch Red Bull performen bisher besser. Und das Vertrauen in Lewis Hamilton sinkt weiter.
Schumacher: „Die Leute haben ihn jetzt so ein bisschen kennengelernt intern. Dieses leichte und wir sind ein super Team das bekommt natürlich bei sowas Kratzer, keine Frage. Und das wird hängen bleiben. Muss er selber wissen.“
