A última rodada do Brasileirão foi muito boa para o Palmeiras, na qual venceu o Vasco e se manteve líder isolado da competição, com 16 pontos. Além disto, o Verdão já está garantido na próxima fase da Libertadores depois de vencer mais uma vez neste meio de semana o Cerro Porteño.
Para este domingo, Abel Ferreira ainda não tem o time definido, mas terá praticamente todos os seus principais jogadores exceto Micael, este lesionado. Repetir o time que jogou na quarta-feira pode ser uma opção do técnico palmeirense, ou até mesmo fazer mudanças, como as voltas de Píquerez, Felipe Anderson e Richard Ríos, estes que não foram titulares contra o Cerro.
O empate sem gols com o Fortaleza deixou o São Paulo com nove pontos e na metade da tabela do Brasileirão. E também a equipe teve um meio de semana bom na Libertadores, ao vencer o Alianza Lima e ficar mais perto da classificação para a próxima fase da competição;
Luis Zubeldía pode ter uma chance de novidade no Palmeiras x SPFC deste domingo com Oscar. O meia já vem treinando e há possibilidade de participação deste no Choque-Rei. Lucas Moura também pode aparecer na escalação, embora Matheus Alves possa ser o favorito a ser titular no clássico. Sem suspensos, o treinador também terá à disposição boa parte de seus principais atletas.
