A CBF aguarda as despedidas formais entre Ancelotti e Real Madrid depois do jogo de domingo, dia 11, contra o Barcelona para avançar na contratação do técnico para a seleção brasileira.
O presidente Ednaldo Rodrigues conduz as negociações e estabeleceu a próxima semana como prazo final para a resposta, já que o Brasil precisa enviar a lista larga de convocados à Fifa até dia 18.
A percepção na CBF é que Ancelotti já deu o “sim”, embora publicamente tenha indicado recuo. Mas se não cumprir novamente a palavra, como em 2023, a CBF não quer ficar nas mãos do italiano.
Por isso, tem os nomes de Jorge Jesus e Abel Ferreira como opções. E já obteve sinal verde dos dois portugueses em caso de convite. Logo, um acerto poderia acontecer rapidamente.
No caso de Jesus, que era o plano B inicial de Ednaldo, a facilidade é ainda maior pelo fato dele estar desempregado. Abel Ferreira precisaria de uma liberação do Palmeiras.
Como se sabe, um dos fatores que pesam na CBF contra Jesus e a favor de Abel é Neymar. O craque não escondeu a insatisfação com o ex-treinador no Al-Hilal, de onde Jesus foi demitido.
Quem quer que seja o treinador terá que elaborar uma lista de 50 nomes até dia 18. Se não tiver técnico, a seleção precisará ser convocada pela CBF através de sua diretoria. Entretanto, essa hipótese é considerada remotíssima nos bastidores da entidade.
Enquanto isso, funcionários da seleção seguem indo a jogos e produzindo relatórios para a nova comissão. O Brasil encara Equador e Paraguai dias 5 e 10 de junho, pelas Eliminatórias.
