Walter Casagrande Júnior não ficou nada satisfeito com mais um resultado negativo do Corinthians fora de casa. De virada, o Timão perdeu para o Mirassol por 2 a 1 ontem (10) no Estádio José Maria de Campos Maia, pela 7ª rodada do Brasileirão Série A.
Para Casão, o Coringão não irá mais ganhar títulos na temporada, deixando claro que o grupo de jogadores está muito abaixo de Palmeiras e Flamengo. Além disso, frisou que o time do Parque São Jorge jamais conseguirá jogar de igual para igual com palmeirenses e rubro-negros.
“Esse time, com o Dorival Jr ou sem ele, jogará para ficar no meio da tabela, se der tudo certo, porque corre o risco de ficar no sufoco como em 2024”, avaliou o comentarista em seu blog no UOL.
Deste modo, o colunista não apontou o treinador como o principal problema da equipe corintiana, creditando à limitação da equipe e do elenco. “Seja Ramon Díaz ou Dorival Jr, o Corinthians não vai a lugar nenhum”, ponderou.
Casagrande detona Memphis Depay
Quando a partida em Mirassol estava 0 a 0, Memphis Depay teve a chance de abrir o marcador cobrando pênalti. Porém, o holandês cobrou com cavadinha, possibilitando a defesa do ex-corintiano Walter.
O ex-centroavante comparou a atitude de Memphis Depay com a de Alexandre Pato pela Copa do Brasil de 2013 contra o Grêmio. “Foi patético e irresponsável”, disparou.

Na ótica de Casão, as visitas de Memphis Depay ao subúrbio de São Paulo não passou de uma jogada de marketing.
“Não adianta ir na quebrada, assistir a jogo na várzea, tirar fotos na periferia; isso não significa que entende a história do Corinthians”, comentou.
