Ancelotti, novo técnico da seleção brasileira (Divulgação – Real Madrid)

Carlo Ancelotti, oficializado como novo técnico da seleção, deu início ao trabalho à frente da seleção. Embora o confronto de estreia aconteça somente em junho, contra o Equador, o italiano, segundo o GE, colheu informações sobre jogadores que podem fazer parte da primeira convocação. Neste cenário, Casemiro, do Manchester United, Caio Henrique, do Monaco, Alexsandro, do Lille, e Antony, do Betis, foram nomes que o comandante buscou detalhes nos bastidores.

Do grupo em questão, Casemiro trabalhou com Ancelotti no Real Madrid e deve ganhar uma nova chance na seleção. Fora dos planos de Dorival Júnior, o volante é um dos destaques na atual campanha do Manchester United na Liga Europa.

“Tenho uma afeição espetacular por Ancelotti. Para mim, ele está entre os três melhores treinadores que já tive, junto com o Zidane, claro, e o Tite,. Tive outros que deixaram sua marca em mim, como Mourinho e Lopetegui. Mas Ancelotti é um treinador da velha guarda que não ficou preso à velha escola. Carlo modernizou-se como o futebol.”, afirmou Casemiro, em entrevista ao jornal AS.

Retorno de Neymar à seleção

Além do quarteto citado, Neymar é outro jogador nos planos de Ancelotti. Antes de aceitar o convite da CBF, o técnico conversou, por videochamada, com Neymar. Mesmo com o diálogo informal e sem nenhum aprofundamento do projeto, houve uma sinalização de que o camisa 10 faz parte dos planos envolvendo a Copa do Mundo de 2026.

Bônus para Ancelotti previsto em contrato

Dono de um salário de R$ 5 milhões mensais, Ancelotti será compensado financeiramente caso o Brasil conquiste o hexa. Através do contrato firmado nos bastidores, a CBF prometeu pagar 5 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 31,61 milhões) com o título conquistado no próximo ano.
