Essens Einspruch – Handball-Sportgericht hat mal wieder gut Zeit

Gut Ding will Weile haben!

Fantasy Baseball: Is Gleyber Torres’ hot start for real? Here’s what the history says

USATSI Gleyber Torres hit free agency as a 28-year-old with a 38-homer season and a couple of All-Star appearances under his belt, but he had to settle for a one-year, make-good deal with the Tigers this offseason after a mightily disappointing final season with the Yankees. A career .266/.335/.442 hitter, Torres hit just .257/.330/.378 in his final season in the Bronx, with just 15 homers. And his landing spot in spacious Comerica Park did not exactly have expectations high for a bounce back. But that's exactly what we've gotten. In fact, we might just be seeing the best version of Torres ever. He'll never come close to that juiced-ball-fueled 38-homer season in 2019, but Torres is hitting .304 through his first 29 games, with a strikeout rate less than half his career mark -- he's sitting a 8.6%, compared to a […]

Moisés Ballesteros debut: Cubs promote top hitting prospect as Ian Happ heads to IL

Imagn Images The Chicago Cubs have promoted catching prospect Moisés Ballesteros for his MLB debut. Ballesteros is hitting seventh as the DH in Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins. In a corresponding move, the Cubs have placed outfielder Ian Happ on the injured list on account of an oblique injury that has sidelined him since May 9.Ballesteros, 21, was recently covered by CBS Sports in our Prospect Watch feature. Here's what we wrote: When I ranked Ballesteros as the second best prospect in the Cubs system over the winter, I praised his polished offensive game but warned of the questions surrounding his catching future. Ballesteros' ultimate defensive home is still to be determined -- Miguel Amaya and Carson Kelly have contributed plenty to Chicago's hot start -- but his best position is clearly going to be at the dish.
