Romário ‘indica’ atacante para Ancelotti convocar para a seleção brasileira

Romário procurou ‘aconselhar’ o novo treinador da seleção brasileira. Na visão do tetracampeão mundial em 1994, Carlo Ancelotti tem que voltar a dar chances para um atacante que esteve na Copa do Mundo de 2022, mas que não foi lembrado por seu antecessor Dorival Júnior.

Para o eterno camisa 11, Antony merece uma nova oportunidade no escrete canarinho que será comandado pelo italiano do Real Madrid a partir de 26 de maio.

O jogador revelado pelo São Paulo vem tendo um bom desempenho do Real Betis, onde atua desde o começo do ano ao ser emprestado pelo Manchester United.

“Ele é um dos maiores jogadores brasileiros que temos no futebol mundial hoje. Acho que ele tem potencial para voltar à seleção e ajudar o Brasil na próxima Copa do Mundo. Com certeza. Se o Antony continuar como está, curtindo o futebol, jogando com o coração e querendo melhorar, certamente poderá ajudar muito. Não só o Betis, mas também a nossa seleção brasileira”, avaliou Romário, em material divulgado pelo clube de Sevilha e reproduzido pelo Bolavip da Argentina.

Antony não defende a seleção brasileira há dois anos

Pelo time espanhol, Antony foi titular em 21 dos 22 jogos, balançando as redes em oito oportunidades. O atacante tem contrato com o Betis até o fim de junho. O vínculo do atleta com o Manchester United expira na metade de 2027.

Antony não atua pela seleção brasileira desde março de 2023, quando participou da derrota para Marrocos por 2 a 1. Na época, o Brasil era comandado interinamente por Ramón Menezes.

A estreia de Carlo Ancelotti pela seleção brasileira será no próximo dia 5 de junho, contra o Equador em Guayaquil, pelas Eliminatórias da Copa do Mundo.
