Flamengo planeja abrir empresa temporária nos EUA para diminuir taxação sobre premiação do Mundial

O Flamengo planeja abrir uma empresa temporária nos Estados Unidos com o objetivo de diminuir a taxação à sua premiação no Mundial de Clubes. A Fifa informou aos clubes brasileiros – Botafogo, Fluminense e Palmeiras – participantes do torneio que o país norte-americano não concederá isenção fiscal às receitas geradas por ele.

Geralmente, a Fifa consegue uma isenção tributária para os participantes de seus torneios, como a Copa do Mundo. Porém, desta vez, o governo do presidente Donald Trump não cedeu.

Apenas por participar do Mundial, o clubes da América do Sul terão direito a 15,2 milhões de dólares (R$ 85,7 milhões). Além disso, uma vitória na fase de grupos vale 2 milhões (R$ 11,2 milhões), enquanto um empate, 1 milhão (R$ 5,6 milhões). De acordo com nota do rubro-negro, os EUA devem reter 30% do total arrecadado pelo clube em impostos federais, fora a chance de haver encargos estaduais e locais e taxas administrativas.

Diante disso, o Flamengo foi aconselhado por consultorias especializadas a criar uma empresa apenas para administrar os valores relativos ao Mundial, e reduzir para cerca de 21% o impacto dos impostos do governo Trump.

“A constituição dessa empresa é temporária e restrita à participação no torneio, sem qualquer impacto sobre a estrutura esportiva, jurídica ou operacional dos clubes no Brasil, servindo apenas para o fim específico de redução da retenção tributária das receitas do Mundial de Clubes 2025 de 30% para algo em torno de 21% ainda deduzindo as despesas referentes ao Mundial”, diz nota.

A decisão sobre a abertura ou não será votada na próxima semana pelo Conselho Deliberativo do rubro-negro. A pauta é tratada com urgência, pois os primeiros pagamentos serão efetuados pela Fifa já no fim do mês.

O Flamengo estreia no Mundial em 16 de junho, contra o Espérance-TUN. O grupo C também tem o Chelsea-ING e contará com o vencedor do jogo entre América-MEX e Los Angeles FC-EUA.
