A CBF não terá, ao menos por enquanto, Ednaldo Rodrigues como dirigente. Uma decisão do Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ) ordenou que o presidente da entidade fosse afastado da entidade por supostas irregularidades em um acordo feito para as últimas eleições do órgão, segundo informa o GE.
A decisão, proferida pelo desembargador Gabriel de Oliveira Zéfiro, decidiu além do afastamento de Ednaldo da presidência da confederação, nomear um interventor, que seria um de seus vice-presidentes, Fernando Sarney. Além disto, determinou que uma nova eleição para indicar um mandatário para a entidade seja realizada.
Entenda o caso
O afastamento do até agora presidente da CBF veio na origem de dois pedidos feitos ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF). Nestes pedidos, depois remetidos ao TJ-RJ, é de que a assinatura do ex-presidente da entidade, Coronel Nunes, presente em um acordo que facilitou a realização de eleições na organização, teria sido falsficada.
O acerto, feito no começo do ano, foi feito para que uma controvérsia sobre o processo eleitoral da confederação fosse encerrada. Cinco dirigentes assinaram o acordo, que acabou permitindo que houvessem eleições para a presidência, estas realizadas em março e com Ednaldo sendo eleito para o cargo. Nas ações. feitas pelo próprio Sarney (ex-aliado e hoje opositor do agora mandatário afastado) e pela deputada federal Daniela do Waguinho (União Brasil-RJ), haveria laudo de uma perícia que comprovaria a suposta falsificação.
A alegação é de que, se for mesmo confirmada que a assinatura de Nunes não é, de fato, verdadeira, o documento que permitiu a realização da eleição fica sem validade. O que também, por tabela, resultaria no afastamento de Ednaldo Rodrigues e na ordem para que uma nova eleição seja feita.
Segundo afastamento
No último dia 7, uma tentativa de afastamento do dirigente foi recusada pelo TJ-RJ, que teria ordenado que o caso fosse investigado. Inclusive, estava marcado um depoimento para a segunda-feira (12) com o Coronel Nunes, mas sob a justificativa de problemas de saúde, não compareceu e este foi cancelado antes da decisão pelo afastamento;
Em dezembro de 2023, Ednaldo havia sido afastado pelo TJ-RJ da presidência da CBF, retornando um mês depois por decisão do STF. O dirigente está em Assunção (Paraguai), para participar do congresso da Fifa, e já fora notificado da decisão.
