O presidente Ednaldo Rodrigues e o jurídico da CBF, através do advogado Gamil Foppel, ex-diretor jurídico da entidade e consultor da presidência, avaliam os recursos contra o afastamento definido pelo desembargador Gabriel Zéfiro, da 19° Câmara Cível do Tribunal de Justiça do Rio.
Entre as alternativas, estão o recurso no próprio TJ, através de um agravo interno para julgamento da própria Câmara. Ou tentar um mandado de segurança para o presidente do tribunal, Ricardo Couto. Em seguida, ir ao Superior Tribunal Federal, em Brasília.
Em paralelo, Ednaldo também avalia recorrer à FIFA, para que se manifeste mais uma vez contra a interferência da justiça comum em uma questão de entidade esportiva, como aconteceu em 2023, com ameaça de possível punição da CBF e exclusão das competições.
O problema é que Fernando Sarney, vice-presidente nomeado interventor, tem bom trânsito na entidade e com o presidente da Fifa Gianni Infantino. Em Brasília, as possibilidades também se reduziram junto ao ministro Gilmar Mendes, que em outros momentos votou favorável a Ednaldo.
Ednaldo se reuniu na manhã de terça-feira com presidentes de federações na sede da CBF, no Rio de Janeiro, mas já existe uma corrida política em busca de apoio a outros candidatos, depois da nomeação do vice-presidente Fernando Sarney como interventor para convocar novas eleições, o que deve ocorrer nos próximos dias.
