Oscar Bergendahl (30) ist zurück!
Beim 32:31-Krimi in Gummersbach feierte der SCM-Kreisläufer sein Comeback. Und ist nun mittendrin im Kampf um die Meisterschaft – mit blauem Auge, aber ohne Rücksicht.
Wie kam denn das Veilchen am linken Auge zustande? „Das ist am Mittwoch im Training passiert. Gisli Kristjansson hat mich an meinem Kopf getroffen. Das passiert manchmal“, berichtet der Schwede lachend am Dyn-Mikrofon.
Eingeschränkt hat es den Kreisläufer nicht. Genauso wenig wie sein operiertes linkes Sprunggelenk. Bergendahl: „Ich hatte keine Schmerzen. Das war gut.“

Nach dem Abpfiff ist Bergendahl sichtlich zufrieden: „Wir haben heute eine überragend gute Abwehr gespielt über 60 Minuten. Ich bin richtig glücklich.“
Trotzdem ist es das ganze Spiel über spannend geblieben. Für Bergendahl kein Manko. Er meint: „Ich finde, wir waren von Anfang an da und haben alles gegeben.“
Magdeburg führte kurz vor Schluss mit vier Toren – ließ den VfL aber noch mal auf 31:32 rankommen.

Bergendahl: „Natürlich fahren wir mit einem guten Gefühl nach Hause. Ich finde, wir haben momentan einen richtig guten Flow und gewinnen die Spiele. Ich freue mich, wieder auf dem Platz zu stehen.“
Magdeburg hat mit dem Sieg weiter alle Chancen im Meisterkampf – und Bergendahl ist wieder mittendrin. Verletzungsfrei. Verteidigungsstark. Und offenbar schmerzfrei. Nur Gisli sollte künftig besser zielen…
