Walter Casagrande não tem dúvidas de que o Palmeiras vai bater de frente com o Flamengo. Analisando o elenco que Abel Ferreira tem nas mãos, o ex-atacante acredita que o treinador tem em todos os setores mais um jogador no mesmo nível.
Nas laterais, por exemplo, Casão classificou como ‘ótimo’ os atletas que compõem a posição. Desta forma, ele entende que o português pode variar a maneira da equipe atuar.
“Hoje, o Abel Ferreira pode mesclar o time e poupar alguns jogadores quando for necessário, sem deixar cair o potencial dessa equipe”, escreveu Casagrande, em coluna publicada no UOL.
“Além dos ótimos e experientes laterais Marcos Rocha, Mayke e Piquerez, ainda tem os garotos Vanderlan (22 anos), que veio da base, e o argentino Giay (21), que, neste ano, está mais seguro e confiante”, acrescentou.
Casagrande destaca reformulação do Palmeiras
Após um período de erros e acertos no Paulistão, onde o Palmeiras até correu riscos de ser eliminado na fase de grupos, o alviverde agora mostra uma nova cara. Competitivo e sólido, está 100% na Libertadores e líder do Campeonato Brasileiro.
Mais do que os resultados positivos, o Verdão tem feito partidas seguras e com domínio total sobre seus adversários.
“Fora isso, o Palmeiras ainda pode contar com uma base espetacular, que sempre vem revelando ótimos garotos, como Luighi, Allan e tantos outros que poderão surgir durante o ano”, analisa Casão.
Foco no clássico
No domingo, o Flamengo enfrenta o Botafogo, às 18h30 (de Brasília), no estádio do Maracanã, pela nona rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Filipe Luís espera um duelo bastante complicado.
Certeza de que será um grande jogo. Jogo duríssimo, dificílimo. Eles têm um dia a mais de descanso. “Não serve como desculpa”, disse o treinador.
