Everything is set for Paige Bueckers‘s highly anticipated debut with the Dallas Wings in the WNBA. In just a few hours, we will witness the 23-year-old player’s magic when she faces the Minnesota Lynx at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
The Huskies have fond memories of Bueckers, and the university team is celebrating on social media the fact that they will be contributing up to 15 players to the WNBA.

Bueckers is a legend on the Huskies
Since arriving in 2021, she was the first freshman to win the John R. Wooden and AP Player of the Year awards, joining the exclusive group of Huskies legends.
She led with 19.9 points and 4.6 assists per game, shot with electrifying accuracy (53.4% from the field and 41.9% from three-point range), and was the heart of the Huskies‘ 12th national championship.
Every basket and every pass was met with roars on the court. Winning the Wade Trophy, the Nancy Lieberman Award, and earning a unanimous spot on the All-America First Team must have felt like touching the sky. Bueckers‘ name is already etched in gold at the university.
She also broke the mental barrier that plagued the team, instilling a winning mentality. The Wings finished 2024 with a 9-31 record, their best winning percentage since 2011. This is all the influence Bueckers has had at her young age.
Now, all of that is in the past, and her next challenge is to lead the Dallas Wings to victory in the WNBA. She will be under a lot of pressure, but she will surely benefit from the experience and give her best every time she steps onto the court. She is starting a new chapter and will seek to make a name for herself on the biggest stage.
