O conclave FC já foi marcado. No dia 25 de maio, federações e clubes deverão se reunir no Rio de Janeiro, mais precisamente no Edifício-que-um-dia-já-foi-José Maria-Marin, para eleger o novo presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol.

O leitor atento dirá… mas isso não aconteceu outro dia — tipo, há menos de dois meses? Sim… em 24 de março, Ednaldo Rodrigues foi aclamado por unanimidade com votos das 27 federações e dos 40 clubes das Séries A e B.

— Tentaram até um golpe! Mas resistimos e vencemos — declarou então.

Futebol é dinâmico. O velho Apolo, Washington Rodrigues, descreveria assim o episódio: Ednaldo achou que a onça já estava morta e o mato já era dele. Não estava, não era. Mesmo após a aclamação — vários eleitores sopravam que a coalizão de Ednaldo estava se desfazendo. Havia uma Air Fryer turbinada em volta de seu distinto assento — operando silenciosa.

Sentindo o calor, o cartola baiano tentou uma última cartada: anunciou Carlo Ancelotti para treinar a seleção brasileira. Gravou vídeo com pompa e viajou para o congresso da Fifa no Paraguai. Seu destino já estava encomendado. Na quinta-feira, veio a degola judicial.

O interventor Fernando Sarney assumiu, assegurou que Ancelotti não seria descontratado e se movimentou para convocar eleições. Nos bastidores já vinha sendo articulado o nome de um novo delfim. Ele atende por Samir Xaud, 41 anos, e vem de Roraima. É herdeiro do mais longevo cartola do futebol nacional — José da Gama Xaud, o Zeca Xaud.

Zeca foi eleito pela primeira vez presidente da Federação Roraimense de Futebol (FRF) em 1975. Saiu, voltou em 1983, saiu de novo e voltou para ficar em 1988. Seu mandato atual só termina depois da Copa… mas seu sucessor já foi escolhido num pleito realizado em janeiro. E ele é, ou seria, justamente Samir, que vinha trabalhando como gestor da FRF.

Ou seja — o filho assumiria a cadeira do pai em 2027. Agora tudo pode mudar se Xaud, o jovem, galgar parâmetros nacionais. Natural de Boa Vista, faixa-preta de jiu-jitsu e atleta de crossfit, Samir é certamente mais moderno que Ednaldo. Tem até perfil no Instagram com 16 mil seguidores. Mas o futebol de Roraima tem só um time em competição nacional: o São Raimundo… na Série D. Seu principal estádio, o Canarinho, tem capacidade para 4,5 mil pessoas. Será um senhor salto — do Canarinho para a Canarinha.

Xaud tem concorrência. Clubes e ao menos uma federação robusta tentam construir uma alternativa. Mas os ventos que empurram o barco de Roraima são fortes. Ednaldo ainda tenta sobreviver apelando ao STF. Soa improvável que consiga — e seu despejo diz muito sobre o Brasil e como somos uma pátria profundamente relacional. Ex-lateral e ex-presidente de federação, Ednaldo se viu no trono quase por acaso. Uma vez ali… tentou muito permanecer. Mas microgerenciou muito, delegou pouco, desconfiou demais e governou de menos.

Desde 2012, o trono elétrico já fritou Ricardo Teixeira, Marco Polo Del Nero, José Maria Marin, Rogério Caboclo e agora Ednaldo. Todos deixaram o posto chamuscados, carbonizados e desgostosos. E ainda assim… a cadeira de presidente da CBF continua sendo esse estranho objeto de desejo.
