Eli Manning’s heart beats for New York, and it doesn’t stop at football as the longtime Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion was among the thousands of fans celebrating a historic moment for the New York Knicks, who have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.
On May 17, the Knicks overwhelmed the Boston Celtics in what turned out to be one of the most dominant playoff performances in franchise history.

The 38-point win sparked euphoria across Manhattan, with fans flooding the streets outside Madison Square Garden to mark the end of a decades-long drought.
Manning, who spent 16 seasons with the Giants and remains a beloved figure in the Big Apple, shared his excitement in a simple yet powerful Instagram story. The post featured a photo of him holding up a “K” sign in tribute to the Knicks, with the caption: “Let’s go @nyknicks!”

The Knicks’ blowout victory over Boston not only secured a series win but also ended a 25-year absence from the conference finals. The last time they got this far was in 2000.
The franchise hasn’t hoisted an NBA title since 1973 and hasn’t made an appearance in the Finals since 1999. That all changed with a performance that fans will remember for years.
Speaking after the game, Knicks forward Ogugua Anunoby emphasized the team’s determination: “We made the emphasis to come out with a lot of energy, to fly around – we corrected what we saw on film and maintained it for the whole game.”
His teammate Mikal Bridges echoed a sentiment of unfinished business “They can enjoy it for us right now, but obviously, we’ve got way more to go. I’m happy for them.”
Fans, however, are soaking in the moment. Outside the Garden, scenes of elation erupted-fans climbed light poles, danced on rooftops, and filled the air with chants. It wasn’t just about a win; it was a cultural moment that unified generations of Knicks faithful.
And the journey isn’t over yet. The Knicks now prepare to take on the Indiana Pacers, with a trip to the NBA Finals at stake.
