Entre el jueves 27 y el domingo 30 de marzo del 2025 tuvo lugar el Festival Estéreo Picnic (FEP) en el Parque Simón Bolívar de Bogotá, con gran éxito y asistencia multitudinaria, a pesar de la lluvia y las modificaciones de cartel del último tiempo. Pero el show de Eladio Carrión, que era muy esperado y convocó a miles de personas, tuvo un final para polémicas y que empeoró porque terminó viajando a Medellín a los pocos minutos de abandonar el lugar del encuentro musical y cultural.
A finales del año 2024, la organización del evento colombiano, que está conectado con los eventos Lollapalooza en Argentina, Chile y Brasil, anunciaba que tendrían presentaciones de alto nivel: Shawn Mendes, Alanis Morissette, Foster The People, Zedd, Justin Timberlake, Tool, Parcels, Incubus, Danny Ocean, The Hives, The Black Keys, Justice, Astropical – Bomba Estéreo y Rawayana, Nathy Peluso, Olivia Rodrigo, Rüfüs Du Sol, Fontaines D.C., Empire Of The Sun, Mon Laferte, Caribou, entre otros. Pero al pasar las semanas empezaron a caerse varios de ellos como The Black Keys, Fontaines D.C. e Incubus.
Pero desde que se conoció el cartel, se había dejado un espacio para un artista sorpresa, que aparecía así en los anuncios: XXXXXXX. Y en la semana previa, mientras se esperaban reemplazos para los ausentes, destaparon que Carrión iba a ser la sorpresa, causando reacciones de inconformidad y beneplácito, dependiendo los gustos de los que ya tenían sus entradas adquiridas.
¿Qué pasó con la presentación de Eladio Carrión y por qué culpan a WestCol?
La programación puso a Eladio Carrión en el escenario secundario del FEP 2025, después de presentaciones como las de Melov, LosPetitFellas y Nathy Peluso, la hora de salida del estadounidense estaba sobre las 9:45 p. m. (hora Colombia). Pues la hora de salida fue puntual, poco a poco se fue llenando el espacio y se prendió la fiesta con su estilo particular.
Estaba programado que el show durara una hora, los asistentes afirman que esto no ocurrió y la sorpresa terminó siendo un espectáculo incompleto y menor al esperado. Pero no hubo mucho revuelo, esperando conocer las razones reales de los responsables del evento y del mismo cantante.
Pero la verdadera molestia apareció cuando se supo que el ‘streamer’ WestCol había anunciado en la tarde del mismo sábado una transmisión vía ‘Kick’ junto a Eladia Carrión sobre la medianoche colombiana. Conforme fue pasando el tiempo, el polémico ‘influencer’ y presidente integrante de la Kings league Americas, confirmó todo y lo hizo cuando el artista estaba iniciando a cantar.
Aunque se pensaba que ‘West’ iba a viajar a Bogotá, siendo lo más normal por el compromiso con el Festival Estéreo Picnic de Carrión, lo extraño es que fue al revés y el representante del trap en español fue el que viajó a Medellín para estar junto al famoso joven.
Poco a poco salieron informaciones desde el entorno de la escena musical colombiana ‘influenciadores’ musicales revelaron las razones que tuvo Eladio Carrión para quedar mal con sus seguidores. Así lo escribieron en ‘X’ (antiguo Twitter) un par de personajes que llevaban detalles del FEP que pocos tenían. “Eladio Carrión abandonó su show 30 minutos antes del tiempo acordado de la finalización. Viajará a Medellín, con Westcol, y visitará la discoteca de Karol G: ‘El Callejón del Gato'”, se leyó en la cuenta @Miguel_G_1_1.
Y un rato después, en la cuenta @ @Juanjo_guerrero apareció una imagen del encuentro de WestCol y Eladio Carrión, acompañada con este texto: “Eladio Carrión se fue temprano de su show para hacer ‘stream’ con Westcol… El chiste se cuenta solo, los que pagaron por verlo (cara de payaso)”. Y como respuesta a estas publicaciones, los integrantes de la comunidad del ‘streamer’ salieron con sus habituales ataques, burlas y comentarios agresivos, argumentando que el paisa y sus transmisiones son más importantes que el Festival Estéreo Picnic y todos los asistentes.
Ese fue el orden de la información que se conoció en el Parque Simón Bolívar de Bogotá, causando molestia y reclamos entre los asistentes. Sin embargo, todo fue peor cuando empezaron a verse los videos en los que se ve que Eladio Carrión llegó pasada la medianoche a Medellín, en una camioneta de lujo y escoltado por otros vehículos similares.
Después de eso, salieron costes de videos y clips en los que se escucha la conversación de Eladio y WestCol, en Medellín. El ‘streamer’ le preguntó: “¿Cómo vamos? ¿Qué se dice, mi hermano? ¿Cómo vamos, papi, bien? ¿Qué tal el vuelo? ¿Melo?”. Y el artista responde: “Bien, gracias a Dios, estoy como ronco”, pero después se sorprende que ya esté en vivo y pregunta: “¿Estamos en vivo, ahora mismo?…”.
La interacción siguió, el joven paisa le preguntó al nacido en Kansas City sobre su estadía en Bogotá y si lo recibieron bien, a lo que Carrión contestó: “Todo bien, gracias a Dios… Perdí la voz, un poquito, como que hace un poco de frío. Se va la voz siempre”. Y cuando llegó la siguiente pregunta de ‘WC’, sobre lo que iban a hacer el resto de la noche y la madrugada, Eladio Carrión empezó a decir su plan y prefirió dejarlo hasta ahí: “No, vamos pa’ la discot…”, así dejó entender que el plan final sí sería ir a la discoteca de Karol G.

Si la inconformidad de los asistentes al Festival Estéreo Picnic 2025 para ver al trapero estadounidense era mucha, con las revelaciones que han salido se ha multiplicado la indignación. Por eso, exigen una respuesta de la misma organización del FEP, ya que fue anunciado como un artista sorpresa y varios solo fueron a verlo a él por comprar solo la entrada del día de su presentación.
Y a pesar de que el ‘stream’ con WestCol no duró mucho, pareciera que la prioridad era ir a Medellín y lo de Bogotá solo fue una escala corta y que dejó muy mal ambiente.
