Vanderlei Luxemburgo, dono de uma carreira gloriosa, colocou um ponto final na trajetória de treinador. Mesmo sendo procurado, o profissional, compreendendo que houve um encerramento de ciclo, não quis aceitar os convites formalizados. Além disso, o momento de “bagunça” do futebol brasileiro trouxe um grande desânimo, algo crucial para a decisão.
“Eu não pretendo mais ser técnico de futebol. É uma coisa que eu não falei para ninguém. Eu não quero mais ser técnico de futebol. Deu meu tempo, faz parte.”, disse Luxa, em entrevista à XicoTV, no Instagram.
“Tive bastante convites recentes para voltar ao futebol. Eu vi o que está acontecendo no futebol com essa bagunça… eu falei: ‘Não quero mais saber disso aqui’.”, acrescentou.
Em 2023, Luxemburgo realizou o último trabalho no Brasil. À frente do Corinthians, o ex-técnico do Timão dirigiu o clube em 38 partidas, com 14 vitórias, 12 empates e 12 derrotas. Desde então, outros projetos longe dos gramados ganharam prioridade.
Situação da CBF
Reagindo à saída de Ednaldo Rodrigues da presidência da CBF, Luxemburgo recordou os últimos dirigentes afastados da entidade. Neste cenário, o enfraquecimento da seleção brasileira também foi atrelado ao trabalho dos ‘cartolas’ nos bastidores.
“A CBF acabou de perder o seu presidente, Ednaldo. O Ricardo (Teixeira) foi afastado, o Caboclo foi afastado… o que eles fizeram no futebol, a não ser jogar o Brasil (para baixo)? Nem candidato a ganhar uma Copa do Brasil o Brasil é colocado. Só pelo passado, não pelo presente.”, afirmou.
Futuro de Luxemburgo
Atualmente, Luxemburgo faz parte do programa “Galvão e Amigos”, na Band. Apesar do afastamento, o antigo técnico da seleção brasileira pode agir em prol do futebol ao assumir um cargo público nas próximas eleições.
“Eu não posso parar de trabalhar. Nós, pessoas públicas que temos notoriedade e podemos influenciar vidas de pessoas, temos que criar oportunidades para ajudar no crescimento. Eu vou me colocar à disposição de alguma coisa que eu possa fazer, não como técnico e ex-jogador. Eu posso contribuir fora do futebol na política. É uma coisa que eu sempre militei.”, externou.
