“Shedeur, he’s got to go in there and work, earn his job just like me,” Hunter of the Jaguars told Fox. “But he’s also got to go in there and be the head of the offense, so he’s got to go in there and be a leader.”
Leadership is something Shedeur Sanders must prove if he hopes to stand out amid the fierce competition within the Browns, a franchise that has historically struggled to find a quarterback capable of elevating them to the next level.
Shedeur Sanders is coming off a stellar 2024 season with Colorado, where he threw 37 touchdown passes and completed 74% of his passes, leading the nation in completion percentage. However, the NFL is a different beast altogether.
The 23-year-old was projected as a first-round pick but fell to the fifth round, and many still question whether he can perform at the highest level. Rumors surrounding his draft slide pointed to concerns about his attitude. Now, the stage is set for Sanders to prove his doubters wrong.
