A equipe teve um faturamento de R$ 474 milhões, superior aos R$ 364 milhões de 2023. Porém o Gigante da Colina registrou uma alta nos custos de futebol de 14%, chegando a R$ 404 milhões, impactando na dívida atual, que hoje está em R$ 929 milhões, conforme mapeado pelo estudo da empresa Sports Value.

Porém os custos com futebol corresponderam a 85% do valor que o time arrecadou na última temporada, trazendo um prejuízo ao clube. Só com folha salarial o investimento foi de R$ 240 milhões. Além disso, a equipe registrou gastos com despesas administrativas de R$ 90 milhões,
Esses fatores fizeram o Gigante da Colina fechar o ano com um déficit de R$ 92 milhões e aumento de 24% da sua dívida atual.

O torcedor vascaíno segue preocupado com a situação do clube para esta temporada. Dentro de campo o time conseguiu uma boa vitória frente o Fortaleza pelo placar de 3 a 0, mas segue próximo da zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão.
Na Copa do Brasil a equipe encara o Operário-PR precisando da vitória após o empate de 1 a 1 no jogo de ida da 3ª fase enquanto na Copa Sul-Americana a equipe ainda tem chance de garantir vaga na fase de playoffs.
Porém fora de campo o momento segue conturbado. Em balanço publicado recentemente, não auditado, a dívida vascaína chegou a R$ 1,18 bilhão, acima da que foi apurada no estudo da Sports Value.
