Em 2024 os principais times do Brasil tiveram um custo com futebol acumulado de quase R$ 9 bilhões. Esse valor representa um crescimento de 26% em relação ao ano de 2023 e 80% das receitas registradas pelos mesmos clubes na última temporada, conforme estudo da empresa Sports Value.
O Flamengo foi quem registrou a maior despesa, com R$ 982 milhões. Em seguida, com R$ 868,4 milhões aparece o Palmeiras. O Corinthians foi o terceiro do ranking, com um total de R$ 759,8 milhões. São Paulo, com R$ 655,7 milhões, e Fluminense, com 547,6 milhões, fecham o Top-5.
Impacto nas finanças do Mengão
O Flamengo lidera o ranking de receitas do Brasil há anos. Essa arrecadação permite ao clube fazer altos investimentos em contratações. Porém é um ponto de atenção o alto custo registrado no departamento de futebol.
No caso da equipe rubro-negra essa despesa representou 74% do faturamento registrado em 2024. Chama atenção este fato ao comparamos ao histórico recente, onde esse gasto foi inferior a 70% em quatro dos últimos cinco anos:
- 2019 – 65%
- 2020 – 93%
- 2021 – 64%
- 2022 – 64%
- 2023 – 62%
Cenário preocupa?
A movimentação do Flamengo no mercado da bola na última temporada ajuda a entender esse aumento dos gastos com futebol. Isso porque em 2024 o clube teve uma queda de 65% no valor que arrecadou com venda de jogadores.
Esse fato não foi mero acaso, visto que a diretoria rubro-negra optou por manter seus principais atletas no elenco. Pedro recebeu uma proposta de R$ 150 milhões do Nottingham Forest enquanto Wesley esteve perto de acertar sua ida para o Atalanta por cerca de R$ 101 milhões.
No caso do atacante não houve interesse na negociação, que foi recusada pelo clube rubro-negro. Já em relação ao lateral-direito as conversas estiveram perto de terem um acerto, mas os dois times acabaram não chegando a um acordo na reta final, antes do negócio ser concretizado.
A expectativa agora fica para a movimentação do Flamengo neste ano e como irá impactar nas suas finanças da temporada. Isso porque existe a expectativa de que na próxima janela de transferências clubes europeus façam novas propostas por Wesley. Por outro lado, a diretoria deve investir na contratação de reforços e isso irá impactar no aumento dos gastos.
