Cordero tedy bude připraven pro případ, že by sešlo z původního složení souboje Patrika Kincla s Machmudem Muradovem. Třiatřicetiletý bijec bude rovněž připraven pro případ, že by odpadl jiný ze zápasníků zmíněných soubojích pyramidy Tipsport Gamechanger.
„Sám jsem tlačil na Ondru (Novotného), aby našli nějakou náhradu. Může se stát cokoli. Snad se ale Patrik nezraní anebo nezůstane v Thajsku,“ naráží Muradov na rivalův riskantní kemp v Asii, kde naposledy chytil stafylokokovou infekci. „Já každopádně nechci zůstávat bez zápasu. Jsem v přípravě od března a nechci jen tak přijít o zápas. Bere mi to hodně času, jsem bez rodiny a kamarádů. Stojí to také hodně úsilí a peněz. Pak se soupeř zraní a rázem jsme oba bez zápasu,“ říká Muradov pro Sport.cz.
Corderovo jmenování do role náhradníka souboje by přesto mohlo rozvířit i negativní komentáře. Nebezpečný finišer sice v Oktagonu už rok a půl neprohrál a na kontě má sedm triumfů, zároveň mu ale patří až devátá pozice žebříčku střední váhy. Pokud by tedy zabojoval o prozatímní žezlo, jednalo by se o obrovský krok vpřed.
„Asi by mohli najít někoho jiného, ale Jaime má hodně zápasů v Oktagonu, kde porazil i Milana Ďatelinku (Muradovův tréninkový kolega). To mi dává ještě větší motivaci, pokud by Patrik odstoupil. Jiní bojovníci jsou v Tipsport Gamechangeru. Já jsem především vděčný, že budu mít zápas,“ doplňuje nejpopulárnější Uzbek ve světě MMA.
A zatímco pětatřicetiletý Muradov v těchto dnech pravidelně pendluje na trase Praha–Poznaň, kde se připravuje po boku elitních polských bojovníků a mnohdy mu společnost dělají Češi Michal Martínek či Karlos Vémola, to Kincl od začátku května dře ve zmíněném Thajsku, kde ještě několik týdnů zůstane.
„Samozřejmě jsem zaregistroval ve zprávách žvásty od gaučáků, kteří s disciplínou a zodpovědností mají pramálo společného, ale já přípravu beru zodpovědně. Od A až po Z,“ tvrdil na svém youtubovém kanálu Kincl, bývalý šampion Oktagonu, jenž věří, že se v horkém podnebí tentokráte vyhne zdravotním komplikacím. „Dělám maximum pro to, abych to nemusel řešit znovu,“ ujišťuje.
Tak či tak se 14. června v Edenu chystá letošní největší akce na domácí bojové scéně. Vrcholem bude rozhodující střet mezi Karlosem Vémolou a Attilou Véghem, kteří si to rozdají o speciální pás s názvem Infinity.
