Amargando um período de instabilidade e crise, o Grêmio acabou sucumbindo para o CSA, nesta terça-feira (20), em Porto Alegre, no confronto de volta da 3ª fase na Copa do Brasil. Além da queda, o empate sem gols culminou em um prejuízo expressivo.
Pela eliminação no placar agregado de 3 a 2 para o Azulão do Mutange, o Tricolor deixou de ganhar R$ 3,63 milhões em cotas de premiação da CBF, valor distribuído aos times que avançaram às oitavas de final.
Tendo iniciado a competição copeira na primeira fase, o Imortal fecha sua participação com R$ 5,7 milhões, pelas classificações nas etapas anteriores, ambas por pênaltis, eliminando São Raimundo, de Roraima, e o Athletic Club, de Minas Gerais.
Em relação à última temporada, a CBF seguiu o padrão de reajuste e aumentou as cotas distribuídas entre
4,9% a 5,39%. Neste cenário, um time de Série A que tenha iniciado a competição desde a primeira leva de jogos, pode embolsar mais de R$ 101 milhões em prêmio, em caso de conquista de título.
Para times da Série A que tenham iniciado a competição a partir da terceira fase, o montante máximo recebido fica na casa dos R$ 97,5 milhões. O complemento dos últimos classificados às oitavas será realizado nesta quinta-feira (22), com mais seis jogos decisivos.
Grêmio em alerta no Brasileirão
Sem vencer há cinco jogos, dois sendo em compromissos do Brasileirão, o Tricolor volta a campo no domingo (25), às 11h (de Brasília), diante do Bahia, em Porto Alegre, pela 10ª rodada do certame nacional.
Com alerta ligado, o time de Mano Menezes ocupa a 17ª posição, abrindo a temida zona de rebaixamento, tendo nove pontos em 27 disputados, levando desvantagem em relação ao Vitória, primeiro concorrente fora da degola.
