O dia incomum para jogos simultâneos deste porte não é mero capricho, pois o campeonato pode precisar de uma final. Após uma temporada de ressaca, o time não figurava entre os candidatos ao título no começo do Italiano, mas a chegada de Conte trouxe novos ares. Aos 55 anos, ele já comandou um tricampeonato consecutivo da Juventus entre 2011/12 e 2013/14 e foi campeão com a própria Inter em 2020/21.
Fora dos torneios europeus e eliminado precocemente na Copa da Itália, o Napoli pôde focar desde cedo no Italiano. Mesmo com um elenco mediano e tendo perdido sua estrela, o atacante georgiano Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, para o Paris-Saint Germain, conseguiu ser o líder mais frequente da tabela.

Para se ter a medida da improbabilidade deste eventual título, o artilheiro da temporada napolitana é o atacante belga Lukaku, com 13 gols, outro ex-Inter, mas o vice é o volante escocês McTominay (12), negociado pelo Manchester United no ano passado sem deixar saudades.
Apesar de acumular tropeços estranhos nas últimas rodadas, como os empates diante de Genoa e Parma, o time também contou com a incompetência da Inter para ultrapassá-lo. O último foi o empate com a Lazio, em casa, o que faz os nerazzurri não dependerem de si para faturar o 21º título.
Título improvável para Milão
O trabalho de Simone Inzaghi — iniciado em 2021 — à frente desta geração da Inter dispensa apresentações, após o título nacional na última temporada, o vice europeu em 2022/23 e a classificação à final da Champions contra o PSG, após classificação épica contra o Barcelona na semifinal.
Tendo como principais artilheiros da temporada o atacante argentino Lautaro Martínez (22 gols) e o francês Marcus Thuram (18), além do brilho do lateral-direito holandês Denzel Dumfries, a equipe azul de Milão chegou como candidato a ser campeão. No entanto, agora precisa vencer o Como e torcer por um tropeço do Napoli.

Mais do que isso, como foi eliminada na semifinal da Copa da Itália, ainda corre o risco de sair de mãos vazias dos três principais torneios da temporada.
