Com esta compra, avaliada em cerca de 50 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 322 milhões), ele passa para as mãos de um fundo de investimento chamado Ignite, que conta com a participação de mais de 10 investidores reconhecíveis e solventes do México, Estados Unidos e Espanha.
Durante seu período à frente do clube, Ronaldo enfrentou desafios significativos. Sob sua liderança, o Valladolid alternou entre a primeira e a segunda divisão do futebol espanhol, com três rebaixamentos e dois acessos. A temporada atual culminou com mais um descenso, intensificando críticas da torcida e de figuras públicas locais, que acusaram o ex-jogador de falta de comprometimento com o projeto esportivo.
O líder do novo proprietário é Gabriel Solares, que lidera este grupo que comprará a maioria das ações da Pucela.
