In a surprising turn during the Indiana Fever‘s 81-76 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, rookie sensation Caitlin Clark saw her remarkable streak of consecutive games with a made three-pointer come to an end.
Clark missed all five of her attempts from beyond the arc, marking the first time in her professional career – and only the second time since her sophomore year at Iowa in 2022 – that she failed to connect from long range.
Despite her off-night from deep, Clark contributed 11 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Veteran forward Natasha Howard led the Fever with 26 points, helping the team improve to a 2-1 record early in the season.
On-court tensions flare
Caitlin Clark and Fever Are Embracing the Pressure!
The game was not without its heated moments. Late in the first quarter, Clark and Dream guard Rhyne Howard engaged in a physical exchange after a foul call. The two players exchanged words and minor shoves, with Clark reportedly telling Howard, “I’m not scared of you,” before teammates intervened to de-escalate the situation.
This incident follows a previous altercation between Clark and Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese in the season opener, highlighting the competitive intensity surrounding the rookie guard.
Despite the personal milestone ending, Clark‘s impact on the game and the league remains significant. Her presence continues to draw record crowds, and her performance contributes to the Fever’s early-season success.
The team will look to build on this momentum as they prepare to face the New York Liberty at home on Saturday.

The Thunder had no urgency in Game 3. How will they respond in Game 4?
MINNEAPOLIS — In accumulating the best record in the NBA and in becoming the team with the best score differential in league history, the Oklahoma City Thunder have made a living of being on the right end of some lopsided scores. There are reasons for this. The Thunder were the best defensive team in the league this season. They are supremely physical. They cause turnovers and make it difficult for opposing teams to run an offense. They have a steely demeanor about them that consistently allows them to keep their foot on the pedal.AdvertisementThis postseason has yielded four losses for Oklahoma City. In three of them — coming against the Denver Nuggets in what was a wonderful second-round series — the losses happened on the margins. There was an Aaron Gordon game winner in Game 1. How Carlo Ancelotti said farewell to Real Madrid: Tears from Perez and talks with Alonso
On the day of his farewell and just as he has done when celebrating titles, Carlo Ancelotti took the microphone and stood in the centre of the Bernabeu. After six years across two different spells in charge and 15 trophies that make him the most successful coach in the club’s history, the Italian could not help but show his emotions as he spoke.Advertisement“It has been fantastic to share with you all these… moments. It’s an unforgettable story because nobody can forget Karim’s (Benzema) three goals against PSG, nobody can forget Rodrygo’s two goals against Manchester City, (Luka) Modric’s pass against Manchester City, Joselu’s two goals (in the 2024 Champions League semi-final),” said Ancelotti. And as the Italian recalled Madrid’s great Champions League comebacks of recent years, up in the directors’ box club president Florentino Perez was weeping disconsolately as he listened to […]
