Pakosta doufá, že se pod jeho vedením bude český volejbal dál posouvat. „Mým osobním přáním a velkou motivací je, aby český volejbal obsadil a udržel třetí místo mezi týmovými sporty a zároveň aby posiloval a byl respektován i na mezinárodní scéně,“ řekl Pakosta po zvolení.
Mezi další cíle zařadil upevnění finanční nezávislosti a stability. „Chceme dosahovat sportovních výsledků na mezinárodní úrovni, ale také rozvíjet volejbal na nižších úrovních. Důležité téma je vytvoření nové koncepce medializace volejbalu s cílem oslovit nové fanoušky,“ dodal předseda ČVS.
Mezi 13 členy nového výboru jsou i další bývalí reprezentanti Jakub Novotný nebo Aneta Havlíčková, která ukončila hráčskou kariéru teprve vloni.
