Ruud van Nistelrooy has said he cannot begin to plan for next season until he has held talks with Leicester City’s senior management about plans for the new campaign.
However, Van Nistelrooy has revealed a trio of teenagers — Jeremy Monga, Jake Evans and Olabade Aluko, who made his first-team debut as a substitute in the final day 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth — are close to signing contracts.

In the case of 15-year-old Monga and 16-year-old Evans, they are due to sign scholarship deals while Aluko, 18, will sign a professional contract.
However, whether Van Nistelrooy will remain as manager next season remains to be seen as he still hasn’t been given any assurances by the club they want to retain his services and give him the chance to lead the club back to the Premier League.
Van Nistelrooy says only after the outcome of those talks are known would he commit to planning for next season.
“I still have to wait to have a conversation on whether we have a future together or not,” Van Nistelrooy said after the game.
“You cannot start planning before that. I need to speak to be able to get a feeling of the hopes (of the club). It’s all dependent on that.”
When asked if he felt this had been his last game in charge, with speculation mounting that Russell Martin is being primed to take over, Van Nistelrooy said: “It’s not about feeling. It doesn’t matter what you feel.
“It’s about finishing the season, everyone goes away now, including myself, we rest, evaluate, make your observations of the season and wait and see what happens.”
