„Byl to neskutečný závod. Nemůžu uvěřit, že jsem vyhrál. Místy jsem se během závodu cítil skvěle, ale nebyl jsem si jistý, zda se dokážu dostat přes Ericssona,“ uvedl Palou, jenž byl v minulosti testovacím jezdcem McLarenu a absolvoval i volný trénink Velké ceny formule 1.
Na třetí vítězství za sebou marně útočil Američan Josef Newgarden, zastavil ho problém s palivovým čerpadlem.
