Novo presidente da CBF, Samir Xaud anuncia redução dos campeonatos estaduais para 11 datas

Neste domingo (25), a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), Samir Xaud iniciou a sua gestão com uma mudança significativa no futebol nacional. O novo presidente da entidade garantiu que haverá alterações no formato dos jogos do estadual. A partir de 2026, os campeonatos devem ser disputados apenas em 11 datas.

A informação divulgada durante a entrevista da GE com o novo presidente da CBF trouxe detalhes: “Estamos projetando fazer com 11 datar a partir do ano que vem. É uma singela demonstração de que nós queremos mesmo que mude. Nós começaremos com o pé direito”. Sobre as mudanças de estaduais, Xaud disse: “Não acredito que teremos problemas. Os Estaduais agora terão que se adequar às normas da CBF”.

A problemática sobre os estaduais não é recente, há grandes debates sobre o tempo dos estaduais no calendário brasileiro. Após encerrar a maioria dos torneios das federações em março, com o restante dos torneios no decorrer dos meses, a maioria dos jogos conta com pouco intervalo. Atualmente, no futebol brasileiro, há 16 datas para os torneios de cada Estado. A proposta da CBF propõe reduzir o tempo de jogo para aliviar a sobrecarga dos atletas.

Portanto, a CBF pretende utilizar a reformulação do calendário e a valorização das competições. Os temas de adequação são pedidos frequentes entre os clubes e os torcedores. Há vários anos há críticas sobre a duração e o formato dos campeonatos estaduais e a sequência de partidas com pouco tempo de descanso.

Outras mudanças na CBF

Além das mudanças nos estaduais, Samir Xaud recebeu questionamento sobre uma possível alteração nas cores da camiseta da seleção brasileira. Entre as especulações estava uma camisa vermelha na Copa do Mundo de 2026. Apesar de não ter confirmado a cor, o dirigente mostrou que há desaprovação: “Prefiro não antecipar uma decisão, mas todos sabem o que a camisa da seleção representa”.

Além disso, Samir Xaud comandará a CBF até 2029. No seu discurso também afirmou que deve incluir mudanças na organização de um fair play financeiro disse: “É hora de colocar o futebol brasileiro nos trilhos com responsabilidade e planejamento”.
