María Jesús Montero aclara sus palabras sobre el caso Dani Alves

La vicepresidenta del Gobierno, María Jesús Montero, ha querido aclarar sus primeras declaraciones la absolución del brasileño Dani Alves. El viernes, la dirigente socialista manifestó lo siguiente al conocer el fallo del Tribunal Suprior de Justicia de Cataluña: “Qué vergüenza que todavía se cuestione el testimonio de una víctima y se diga que la presunción de inocencia está por delante del testimonio de mujeres jóvenes, valientes, que deciden denunciar a los poderosos, a los grandes, a los famosos”.

Sus palabras han generado estos días mucha polémica e incluso las asociaciones judiciales y fiscales pidieron, en un comunicado, respeto a la independencia judicial y recordaron la importancia de la presunción de inocencia. Además, instaron a los políticos a tener responsabilidad institucional.

El líder del Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo criticó su postura y aseguró que no estaba capacitada para su cargo: “No está en condiciones de ser la número dos de ningún gobierno europeo”. Este lunes, 31 de marzo, María Jesús Montero ha querido aclarar su postura a través de su cuenta de X, antes Twitter, y ha aprovechado para lanzar un dardo a la oposición.

“No voy a aceptar lecciones ni tergiversaciones del PP. Lo que quise decir y mantengo es que la presunción de inocencia no debe impedir que podamos expresar nuestro rechazo a que de manera sistemática se cuestione a las mujeres que son víctimas de agresiones y del machismo“, ha escrito la vicepresidenta del Gobierno.

El Partido Popular, según la vicepresidenta, es “el menos apropiado para hablar”. “Ha dicho que el Constitucional es el ‘cáncer del Estado de Derecho’, se vanagloriaba de controlar la sala segunda del Supremo por la puerta de atrás o aseguraba que la Gürtel era una trama contra el PP”, ha zanjado.

Recordemos que el fallo del Tribunal Superior de Justicia en el que absuelve a Dani Alves asegura que las pruebas, en este caso, no son suficientes para quebrantar la presunción de inocencia y condenar al acusado. Se deja así sin efecto la pena de cuatro años y seis meses de cárcel para el brasileño, a falta de la posible resolución del Tribunal Supremo.
