Atletas de ginástica rítmica da Itália denunciam abusos e maus-tratos na seleção: ‘Tiravam peças de roupa como punição’

Dias após a demissão da treinadora Emanuela Maccarani, acusada de assédio, abuso psicológico e maus-tratos contra atletas da seleção italiana de ginástica rítmica, mais denúncias foram reveladas. Nesta segunda-feira, surgiram novos detalhes sobre os abusos a que foram submetidas várias ginastas, entre elas Sofia Raffaeli, que conquistou a medalha de bronze nos Jogos Olímpicos de Paris 2024, foi onze vezes medalhista em Mundiais.

Há uma semana, a Federação Italiana de Ginástica (FGI) anunciou a demissão de Emanuela Maccarani como treinadora da equipe de ginástica rítmica após 29 anos. Andrea Facci, que assumiu a presidência da FGI há menos de um mês, também foi denunciado por uma conversa telefônica, na qual se referiu a uma atleta com termos vulgares e sexistas. Diversas ginastas acusaram Maccarani de supostos abusos, maus-tratos e assédio psicológico.

De acordo com conversas registradas como resultado da investigação contra Emanuela Maccarani, e registradas na ata do tribunal de Monza que ouviu o caso, a treinadora não foi a única apontada. Julieta Cantaluppi, ex-treinadora da Sociedade de Ginástica Fabriano, especificamente de Sofia Raffaeli, e Milena Baldassarri, também teria submetido atletas a práticas inaceitáveis.

“Tudo é muito pior com ela. Há abuso. Uma vez, ela fez Raffaeli e Serena Ottaviani tirarem uma peça de roupa toda vez que cometiam um erro em uma atividade. E no final, elas eram deixadas de calcinha”, disseram os jornalistas Elisabetta Esposito e Claudio Lenzi, que revelaram na Gazzeta dello Sport uma conversa telefônica entre Olga Tishina, vice-técnica da treinadora sob investigação, e Natalia Nesvetova, diretora técnica da Ginnastica Etruria Prato.

O caso relatado, segundo a imprensa italiana, aconteceu em 17 de novembro de 2022. “Ela as trancou em uma sala pequena e fria, sem telefones, sem nada, ela as puniu”, disse Olga Tishina.

Segundo a mídia italiana, Sofía Raffaeli foi forçada a se ajoelhar diante de uma treinadora, implorando que ela aceitasse suas desculpas por ter realizado um exercício incorretamente. Ao contrário de Maccarani, nenhuma queixa foi registrada contra Cantaluppi.

Tudo começou em 2022, quando as ginastas Nina Corradini e Anna Basta — entre outras — relataram a provação e a humilhação que suportaram durante seus treinos com Maccarani. Ginevra Parrini confirmou a versão dos eventos de seus colegas em vários meios de comunicação italianos, e o escândalo se agravou.

Comentários sexistas de Facci

Em uma conversa telefônica, Andrea Facci, presidente da Federação de Ginástica por um mês, fez comentários sexistas e ofensivos sobre a ginasta Ginevra Parrini.

As gravações, obtidas pela Promotoria de Monza como parte da investigação sobre Maccarani, revelam como Tecchi e Facci desqualificaram Parrini, que havia apoiado publicamente as ginastas que denunciaram os abusos. Na conversa, Tecchi declarou: “Ela nunca foi uma borboleta (termo usado para se referir às ginastas italianas)! Ela fez vinte dias de treinamento e depois nada mais.” Em seguida, ele acrescentou um comentário machista: “Ela é gostosa… e estava interessada em ser vista na televisão”. Facci, por sua vez, respondeu com risadas e repetiu as palavras do interlocutor.

Na mesma ligação, eles zombaram do código de vestimenta de Parrini durante suas aparições na mídia, sugerindo que ela usou sua aparência física para chamar atenção. “Na primeira entrevista ela estava de calça, na segunda de saia e na terceira de minissaia que mostrava sua alma”, pode-se ouvir Tecchi dizendo, com a aprovação de Facci.

Giovanni Malagò, presidente do Comitê Olímpico Nacional Italiano (CONI), disse que falou com o oficial e que expressou seu arrependimento: “Facci me garantiu que havia falado com o ginasta e se desculpou após reconhecer que havia cometido um erro”. No entanto, a Procuradoria-Geral de Esportes do CONI decidiu abrir uma investigação oficial para determinar se houve violações dos códigos de ética da organização.
